Relaxation and Flexibility

Hello everyone! It's only Wednesday and it has already been a week. I really needed that snow day yesterday for a bit of a break but I could use about 10 more of those at this point. Yesterday as I was finishing my workout I was thinking about what I should write about this week. I realized that I'd like to share the thing that I have been doing at the end of my workouts and what I plan on doing a lot more throughout my day to calm down, get some peace, and relax.
I used to be a gymnastic so I hold myself to way to high of a standard when it comes to fitness. I have lost a lot of flexibility since I retired from the sport and I have decided I want to gain that and some skills back this year. I went searching online for a new stretching routine to follow. I have one from my old practices but I wanted to switch it up a bit. I stumbled across a Youtuber named Mady Morrison. She makes videos on yoga, fitness, and lifestyle. I watched a few and really enjoyed it. Since I found her, I have been following her 15 minute Full Body Stretch video. Its a mix between stretching and yoga. I always feel so calm and relaxed after doing it and I have noticed a big difference in my flexibility.

I wanted to shared this video with you all because I think that you can honestly find some amazing content to follow on Mady's page. She's got some hour long yoga videos and so much more. So, If you are looking to get more flexible, just stretch more, do some yoga, or meditate, I think you might find this to your liking. The soundtrack is so calming and perfect for after a workout, right when you wake up, or before you go to bed. If anyone decides to try it out let me know! I'd love to hear what you think and if you find another great post from her!

Job Interview

Last week I got an email inviting me to sign up for a time for a job interview! I was super excited because the marketing is rough right now and I was starting to get a little down. I did the assessments that were required, answered a few questions in the best way I could to show my personality and signed up for a time. The job is a Community Manager job for a relatively new company and if I got it I would, as they have said, "be the face of the company on social media." That makes me a bit nervous but also very excited at the same time.     I had the interview today and I think it went pretty well. It was very quick but it was nice to get experience interviewing for jobs and makes me feel more prepared and excited for interviews to come! I am continuing to apply places and look forward to hearing back from more and more people! To all the other seniors who are looking for jobs just know we are all in the same boat. Keep that determination and you will ...

Applying for Jobs

I have been working on applying to jobs for a few weeks now. It has been a bit frustrating because there isn't much open for what I want to do now. My high school has a Facebook group called UA valuable connections. It is a network of all the women who have graduated from UA. I decided the other day to make a post in it about looking for a job and wow was that a great idea. I didn't think about it much after I hit send and three hours later I decided to check it. I was amazed! I had a DM from someone asking if I could help make a video for their organization. One of the women owns their own business and asked if I was interested in freelance work, another person mentioned a company I should look at, and there was a chain of people tagging others that eventually connected me to someone who works at a marketing company who will be a great contact to possibly get my foot in the door there! It's been a few days now and one of the people who previously commented DMed me telling ...

Changing My Mindset

A lot has happened in the past year. At a glance, I might be compelled to rattle off all the terrible things that have happened in my life, in my family and friends lives, in the country, and even the world. That is all I have focused on. While some of those things might be a topic of a blog post in the future, that doesn't mean I am back tracking and going back to a negative mindset. I think writing about it is a great way to put your thoughts on paper, figure out how you truly feel, and then try and think of the good that came from it.      There have been so many great things that have happened this year like starting my senior year of college, hitting the one year mark with my amazing boyfriend, getting to spend more time with my family, learning to cook amazing food, and focusing on exercise. Those are all incredible things! While some of that may seem small, I choose to make it big in my mind. I want to relish in it and be grateful for wha...
